Hahahaha
That's a look I often see on my husband's face. To me it says
"What the HELL are you doing???"

I don't care!
I don't care what the calender says.
I don't care what the forecast for
tonight says.
I don't care what my husband says.
SPRING is HERE!
It's 9 degrees C which is 48.2
degrees F.
All the snow has melted off the
sidewalk.
The birds are singing their
songs.
I went for my run today in
a light sweatshirt and was
waaaay too hot!
The eagles that live in my
backyard look to be feeding
BABIES.
So yeah,I don't care,Spring is here!
Woohoo!

Gross Favourites
I feel much better today but now I'm worried
if there is something wrong with me because
I felt better so fast.
KIDDING! I'm kidding!
heehee
After I wrote my entry here, was greeted
by a happy Jig and got on with my day,
things didn't seem so bad after all.
This morning I was woken up at 4am
again but this time it was by my husband
*wink wink* and the day looks good again.
Venting,reading your supportive comments
and just getting on with life works wonders
it would seem. I'm a little disappointed I
didn't get the chance to mope long. Ha,I'm
sure I'll get another opportunity at least
once more in my life;p
Ok,I saw this on another blog and it grew
into a wonderful conversation so I want
to try it here!
What do you eat, that other people think
is the grossest thing ever?
I have a few favourites! I don't eat them
all the time (for obvious reasons) but when I
do...Mmmm,I enjoy every second!
1. raw bacon. I don't eat the fatty part just
the meat bit but still..RAW bacon. Mmmmm.
2. Peanut Butter and Bacon Sandwiches.
3. Sugar Sandwiches. Butter, bread and sugar.
Brown or White sugar depending on the moood.
My dad got me on to that. He used to have his
(as a kid) with lard(not the nice refined lard you get in
stores. I'm talking about the kind old folks keep
on top of their stove) or bear grease. My version
is a vast improvment!
4. Canned mushroom soup,grated cheese,dry
mustard powder and worcestershire sauce all
mixed together and broiled on toast. Kind of
a trashy welsh rarebit. It's gooood!
5. I also like my steak and roast done blue rare.
Mmmmm, then the next day if there
is any leftover I make what I like to call
Blood Sandwiches. The blood just oozes
out of the meat into the butter and bread
(it makes the bread pink and soggy)
and when you put a good dose of Fleur de
Sel and cracked mixed pepper on top of that
HEAVEN! I love the jelly bit in the center the
best I think.
6. Bone marrow! Give me a steak bone and I
will suck the marrow out all day long.
7. Beef fat. The heavily salted stuff on top of the
roast that goes all crispy.
I think that's it. I'm pretty freaking tame,aren't I?
Come on,tell me what you like!

Le Blah Le Sigh
Blah. I'm in a mood.
I didn't sleep last night and was
plagued by weird thoughts and
worries so I put myself out of
my misery and got up..at 4am.
The good thing about THAT is,
I'm dressed showered and already
have a handle on the day.
What's bugging me? Lots of things.
My husband and I seem to be so ill
suited at the moment. My kids. I swear
my oldest is the rudest, most arrogant, selfish
child alive and my youngest is develop-
mentally delayed by FIVE years. At least.
Me. I think I'm turning into a nicer
version of my mother, which is STILL
bloody scary considering..well considering
a lot of things. I'm a nice,neurotic,self-absorbed
person with enough quirks to be a bit of a case
but not enough to be taken seriously by the doctor.
(If I could get to my doctor that is)
Who the hell knows? May be I'm not nice at all, since
if I'm like my mother I can't be trusted to be a good
judge of my own character. Whine Whine Whine.
See? Self-absorbed.
Hubby's work. They've shut down the mills in town
for 2 weeks to...get this..indefinite. Booooo!! Time to
get a new job, which may mean moving. I don't want
to move. I know, readers of last year will be shocked by
THAT statement but it's true. I..like it here now.
I'm aware enough to know that this is just a mood
and that,it's ok. Today I'm going to be in MY mood
all day long(I'm thinking getting dressed defeats the
purpose,but whatever)and I'm sure after I get my butt
outside and go for a run, things will have improved.
Every now and then though it's nice to just allow ones
self to be blah. To celebrate the mood. (although again,
that may be defeating the purpose but it's MY mood and
I'll be in it any way I want to;P) Hmm,may be the running
isn't a good idea either but I like running. May be I'm not
in a mood at all...may be I'm just rambling.

Ha Ha Ha NO!
I got brave today and headed to the mall
to try on bathing suits. I'm keen to start
swimming as soon as it warms up a bit(don't
want my hair to freeze when I walk home)
I have this image in my head of how I will look
in a bathing suit. It's not all that bad. I'm a little
lush but I'm fit. I exercise every day so surely that
counts for something right?Off I go,eager and full
of sunshine, happiness and merry confident thoughts.
Only it appears the image is a TRICK because the
image in my brain and the actual image in the
mirror don't fucking match!
WHAT THE HELL????
I have no clue who that fat chick was but she sure
as hell wasn't me and that's all I have to say about
THAT.
I do have one thing going for me. These really cool
gum boots!

I'm going to be very stylish this gardening season as
I muck about in the mud. They come in blue too and
you can get them off Amazon.com Aren't they neat?

Book Tag!

I,like Cori won't tag, but please let me know if you end

Ok: Necessary Losses The Loves,Illusions,
Dependencies, and Impossible Expectations
That All of Us Have to Give Up in Order to
Grow (phew) by Judith Viorst
"It has been argued that our adaptations are those
of a slave. But could the widely acknowledged fact
that women adapt more than men in private relation-
ships be due to an innate capacity, a specifically
female capacity to accommodate, a capacity that
mirrors our developmental history and maybe even...
our anatomy? (And is such accommodation, which at
its best embodies the value that imperfect attachments
are better than perfect autonomy, really less "evolved" or
less nature?"
Good book,go read it. It's eye-opening.
I went out with the kids last night to a ridge near
our house to watch the lunar eclipse. It was a nice
clear night,I was hoping to get some beautiful
photos and then the batteries in my camera died.
Ha! I kneeeeew that was going to happen...

The Threat
As I alluded yesterday,we had an incident
occur that required police action.
Well,the kid did.
His former friend threatened to kill him.
As this kid is #1.mentally unstable with
violent tendencies #2. known to carry
weapons #3. Carries through his threats
with actions and has the criminal record
to prove it#4. already threatened my guy
before,Dev decided to report him to the
police.
When it happened the first time
I found out after the fact and I was
pissed that my kid hadn't told me. He
said he wanted to handle it himself and
that he warned the little arsehole if
he ever threatened him again,he would
report him to the police and do his best
to see him charged. So while I'm still
ticked that this wasn't taken care of
earlier, I am proud of my boy for following
through.
The police are taking this very seriously.
It was kind of funny, the cop asked Dev
what the other kid said to him that made
him feel that his life was in danger. How did
he put it? What play on words did he use?
How did he hint at it? What expressions were
used? Devon said "There were no play on words
or hinting! He said I.am.going.to kill you."
*snort* that made me laugh and laugh
and laugh for some reason. Something about
the tone of his voice I guess.
It was decided then to go to his house and arrest
him. They were going to wait until after his curfew
(court ordered) had passed to try and catch him
breaking it and, then they'd take him downtown
(ha!) and process him and all that. The officer
was also going to call the kid's probation
officer and see if he would recommend keeping
him in jail overnight. If he did, then they would
but they couldn't otherwise. He told Dev he would
call him when they released him...just in case...
So needless to say we bolted the house up tight
last night, heh. We never got the phone call so
I'm thinking he was held overnight.
What started all of this? The kid has had a weird
thing for Dev for a while now. He alternately loves
him and hates him. He tries to ruin his friendships
with other people and is possessive as all hell. It's
almost as if he wants to own him and everything
Devon has or has had.
The last straw for my kid was when he stalked
his former girlfriend(remember the one???)
online, emailing every girl with her name on
Facebook, until he found the right one! (She
has also called the police on him) That's when
Dev realized just how creepy this guy was and
did his best to avoid him like the plague. This
other kid then did his best to get a rise out of
Dev by bragging about this girl (who wants nothing
to do with him because he's STALKING her) and when
that didn't work, he accused Devon of trying to steal her
and that imagined slight is what prompted him to
threaten my kid. He's a bit of a case and I'd probably
feel sorry for him,had he not threatened my kid! You
can do the feeling for me,if you wish.
The shitty thing is that Dev works with this
kid's grandpa,so today is going to be a tad
uncomfortable for him there. It will be interest
ing to see how that goes down, how all of this
goes down.
The police said if Crown doesn't lay charges
(and they most likely won't) then we can have
have a Peace Bond slapped on him. I'm doubtful
that will do much but we'll worry about that
when the time comes!
Edited at 7pm to add:
The punk ass did it again!
This time,he text messaged a threat
which Devon saved..idiot. He left a message
for the police officer(who's on a call) and we'll
go from there. I won't put into print what I'm
thinking at the moment..use your imagination!

Road Trip
Yesterday (Sunday) we went on what
was supposed to be a quick drive to
Kamloops,a city to the south of us.
The sun was shining, the tunes were
good and we were all enjoying each
other's company so we ended up
307 miles away,in **Revelstoke**click here
instead!
I'd never been to Revelstoke so it was
a big deal for me. Especially when we
got out of the car to walk amongst
the heritage homes. Street after street
of heritage homes. It was wonderful!
This town I live in is seriously lacking
in beautiful old homes and so I felt like
twirling around in happy circles right in
the middle of the main street downtown.
I didn't. But it was hard not too.
Another thing that thrilled me to no end
was the amount of SNOW that place gets.
When I first moved to the Cariboo,I was
warned about how bad the winters would
be. How bad the snow was. Then I get
here, live through four winters and find
it's nothing like people claimed it would be.
I'm not impressed by winter here at all!
This has led to me on a quest for what I like
to call 'real winter'. Well holy,I found
real winter in Revelstoke! The piles of
plowed snow were over my head in some places
and there are tunnels of snow along the roads
and sidewalks to stores and houses. The stuff
that hasn't been shoveled is just as impressive.
I have never seen that much snow on the ground in
my life. We're talking feet. It was awe inspiring.
I'd love to spend a season there just for the
experience.
I forgot to bring my camera(idiot) but
the boy child brought his so I got a few
shots. It's on a little Nikon Powershot that
he bought off a friend for 30 bucks. They
didn't turn out too bad...not as impressive
as being there of course but I tried!
Ciari. Not the most flattering photo but
look at that snow!I'm not sure how tall
she is(tall enough to go on the big rides
at the PNE lol) but she's a tall kid and
that snow came up almost to her shoulder.
Pretty house
Side Street
Beautiful house
This is my favourite photo from the trip...
We found a few cool places along the way that
we're going to visit in the summer too.
It was a great trip but was I ever glad to be
home in my bed that night. Hours and hours
in the car make me grumpy but they also make
me appreciate my comfy bed,so it's all good.
We had some excitement today involving the
police, but I'm saving that for you for tomorrow,
if I'm not murdered in my sleep, heh. Wish me LUCK!

Love, Uncoordinated (among other things)
My husband and I try to be romantic and keep
our marriage exciting. We do all the usual
things couples are supposed to do but, our
efforts are often fraught with accidents.
Like the time I got the bright idea to
halve a peach, remove the pit and fill
the cavity with wine. The object of the
game is to bite into a peach half at the
same time, while the wine dribbles down..
and.. you get the idea! Well this works if
#1.the peach is ripe #2. you get ALL of the
peach stone out. Yeah..biting into a hard
peach and into an even harder peach stone,
does not a romantic mood make!
Then there was the time we got out an old
shower curtain and massage oil...only to
discover too late that the shower curtain
had been used for camping and still had
sand in it. Very exfoliating!
Or the time we played with a pot of
chocolate body paint and left big(and
little) chocolate handprints all over the
mattress. Handprints that never came out
and made moving with friends really
embarassing.
It seems to get worse as we get older and
I often wonder what kind of trouble we're
going to get ourselves into once the kids
move out!
Just the other day my man was sitting
here at the computer when I got the
bright idea to climb on his lap. Only the
chair has wheels and when I started to
slip and he lept forward to grab me,the
chair moved and we both ended up on the
floor in a big laughing heap. OW my head!
We're starting to get dangerous.
You would think that after 15 years of accidents
and mishaps,we'd just give up but noooo it's become
a bit of a running joke between us. Now we look
for new ways to introduce accidents..er I mean
romance into our lives, just to get a good laugh
if nothing else!
Happy (accident free) Valentine's Day!

shower curtain and massage oil...only to
discover too late that the shower curtain
had been used for camping and still had

Just a quick note to say
I have white teeth!
Woohoo!
I don't look like a hick any more
with that big ugly hole in my front
tooth. YAY. I can smile again;)
I don't need a root canal either but
she warned that these fillings might
not last and I should start thinking
about getting crowns...hey,it's better
than dentures;p

Everything is MELTING!
Yeeha! It's +5 and water is drip,drip
dripping. This could all change with
a snowfall but still,I'm happy to watch
the snow melt away. It won't be long now
until I'm gardening,building a shed,lounging
on my porch...complaining about the heat,ha!
December weighs 7lbs according to the vet
who spayed her yesterday. Which means
she's around seven months old. She's heal
ing nicely but has no sense! She's jumping
all over the house, playing with the other
cats. Being her usual self in other words.
Which is good but I'm all freaked out that
she'll pull her stitches. I locked her in the
bathroom last night and had to listen to
the Symphony of Orange Annoyance as my
other two sat by the door and meowed
and pawed all.night.long. My hallway is
littered with every sock from my drawer,
every shoe from the stand beside my bed
and anything else I could find to chuck
at them. On the little note the vet sent
home with Dec.,it says to watch that your
cat doesn't lick the incision especially at
night, noting that you should not assume
that just because you're sleeping, your cat
will be also. NO SHIT! Devon and I had
a good laugh about that when he read it
out to me.Night time is party time here
for the cats.
Tomorrow I get to go to the dentist.
This is the appointment where I may
or may not be having a root canal.
If she finds I need one,it'll be a two
part procedure. I have no one to
watch Jig so she gets to come too.
The thought of leaving that child in
the play room of the office fills my
heart with fear. She's..how do we say..
high maintenance? I can see an embarrasing
situtation arising out of this visit! May be
if I wish for it hard enough the boy child
will have tomorrow off..
Anyone wanna babysit?
Valentine's Day is soon upon us!
Do you have any big plans?
I'm making pizza bread and creme brule.
Great combo, hee hee. I got the kids some
chocolate crap and bought my man a book
and a ClubPogo subscription. He bought me
flowers for my garden so I'm all set.
When the kids were younger we used to go out
for dinner on V day but now that we don't need
as much of a break from them,it's just as fun to
make it a family day.
OK,enough rambling. Ciao!

I thought I had failed as a mother
the other day when CiarĂ¡n told me she
wanted to grow up to be a model on
the Price Is Right.
Whaaaa???? What did you just say to
me???I thought to myself in..well..
horror. Smile and nod,Lael. Smile
and nod. Ten seconds later I was saved
when she changed her mind and decided
she'd become a Warrior Princess instead.
That's much better!
She then spent the afternoon goofing
around in her party dress and a hair
band,doing Warrior Princess things
(which as far as I can tell is mostly
running around waving a hockey stick
dangerously in the air) I'm inspired now
to buy her a sword and a tiara off EBay,
where one can also find banners that say
QUEEN. I thought it might be fun to get
my OWN tiara and then Jig and I can
walk down Main Street,me as the queen
and Ciari as a Warrior Princess. What?
Do you think people will stare?? Hee
Something else I'd love to do but haven't
..yet, is paint both of my front teeth black
(so it looks like they're missing)then go
about my usual day interacting with
people and watch as they react horrified
to my toothless grin.I always admire the
people who can keep a straight face and
almost admire the ones who mention it.
Respectfully,mind you. At least they're
being honest! I think it's worse when
people try but don't succeed to iggnore
whatever the obvious is and make total
asses of themselves in the process.
Yep,done that a time or two and have a
few embarrasing memories to prove it,heh.
I wonder if my march down Main Street will
be as embarrasing??? I'll let ya know;)

Kitties
but what else would I put up here?
Heh,cats seems to be my favourite topic of late!
This video is a funny montage of cats doing cat
things.I found it this morning on another blog and
wanted to post it right quick before I forget.
Chelle sent me the MOST amazing video on
Facebook that I will post at another time(I thought
two in once day would send you all over the edge)
Happy Friday Everyone!

The Best Garden..EVER and some other stuff.
Recently I've developed an intense interest in
**Cosmology**, **Quantum Physics** and the
like. It's incredibly interesting and not nearly as
mind boggling as I thought it would be. I'm finding
if I take it slow and focus all my attention on each
and every sentence,I can make out what the author is
trying to say. Mind you I'm reading books written
for the lay(wo)man so perhaps I'm not as SMRT as I
thought I was.
By some lovely quirk of the Universe I came
across an amazing show over the weekend:
**Recreating Eden**. It's basically a garden
tour show but these gardens are like none
you've ever seen before!
The garden featured in the episode I saw was
**The Garden Of Cosmic Speculation** .Fitting
given my current passion! I was thrilled to bits
that there was even such a place and it's beauty
brought gigantic embarassing tears to my eyes.
There does not seem to be an official site for the
garden that I could see. The owner of it has his
own site but I couldn't see anything major regarding
the garden. A garden that is open one day of the year
for a public viewing.
Time to plan a trip to Scotland,me thinks!
**Here's the link** .I did find a page on Kathy Ireland's
website **Here** that has a nice explanation and a few
pictures but be warned, it won't be enough to quench your
thirst.
In other news,my roof is leaking. In not one but two
places! Everything is melting(it's +3) and the water
underneath the ice on the roof has nowhere to go
but down into any little crack it can find. I don't
think it'll last long long (the first one has pretty
much stopped dripping) so I'm not calling the
landlord yet. I have a feeling the only thing we
can do is chase the drips with buckets anyhow.
The roof is just too slippery and iced over.
Oh and the cat is out of heat. It wasn't that bad
at all. She's going to be spayed on Monday so
that will put an end to that. Yesterday I had
every male cat known to MAN on my porch.
Horny little bastards. It was kinda creepy...all those
eyes staring at us through the window..pacing back
and forth in front of the door...*shiver* I really can't
see why people don't spay and neuter their pets more
often because, leaving them whole so to speak, seems
to be waaay more trouble!

A list of stuff
1. We finally got the boychild a dresser.
It's actually two plastic storage chests
that have drawers, lol. BUT it was 60
bucks as opposed to 200-300 for a
crappy press board one,so I think it's
the better option.
2. I went to the dentist on Friday.
It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought
it was going to be! The trick is to
avoid the thought until the second
before you have to leave for your
appointment;p I may have to get
a root canal(she'll know when she
gets into the tooth) but I don't care
because once that's done my tooth
will be all pretty and white..er..beige,
so woohoo! I won't look like a hick
anymore. I will also be getting a
brux guard and having my wisdom
teeth yanked out soon. This should
all be very interesting!
3. December is in heat! (Faye if you
get a kitty, get it spayed as soon as
you can, lol) I don't want to jinx myself
but I've got say it's not as bad as people
make out. Does it peak? She's been in
heat since Friday and I'm not annoyed
at all. Mind you I lived with the world's
most annoying cat for 12 years,so I've
gotten used to constant meowing. She
hasn't even come close to hitting Wall's
level of noise and I'm wondering-
Is this it?- She is driving the boy cats
nuts though and it's funny to watch.
Corny jumps her every once in awhile
but can't complete the job. I swear he's
doing it to get her off his back for awhile.
She follows him around and around and
around, hehehehe. That cat is getting his
karma for bugging Miles all the time!
4.I'm planning something that is to take
place in the far and very distant future
Something that is bad but is also good.
It involves a certain dog who is STILL not
being taken care of. Not only is this dog not
being taken care of but, the people who so
kindly opened their home to ensure her
safety were YELLED at by the man who 'owns'
her because she no longers listens to him. He
actually has forbidden them from letting her
inside or in their yard. Asshole.
He would rather have her roam the neighborhood
and get into trouble than have her safe, loved and
looked after FOR FREE,because his ego can't stand
that she respects and prefers these other people more.
The man is NEVER home and she is just looking for
people to love her..oh and feed her too. He is famous
for 'forgetting' to leave food and water out.
But no more I say! Once I get my ducks in a row,I
will be taking care of that problem.
Enough is enough!
5. Big Brother starts soon! Wooohoo!
That show is my only weakness in
the reality show circuit...
