that creepy pervert teenager. I can't say too
much BUT will say others are doing things
on their end and I need to do things on mine.
Mainly watch my daughter like a hawk if we
see him. Sorry for being cryptic. Love you guys
and thanks for the insight! I swear there is a
new hazzard every time I turn around...such
is life;)
Did you see? Billy Mays died. People are
dropping like flies. As they do anyway I
guess. Regardless of how they make a livin'.
It's so weird, the kid and I were just talking
about him,Devon likes to talk like him and
we were having a riot the day before, laughing
and joking around. The next day:DEAD. It
was like we were channelling him or some
thing...creeeepy. ANyway, rest in peace all ye
dead people. I'll see you in another seventy one
years! And not a minute sooner! (I'm living
to be 107)
It was Stampede Weekend, the weekend past.
It was oddly quiet around here. I was sure I'd
see more drunk people peeing in the bushes
and such but NOTHING. There were drunk
people in town to be sure but nothing major
and certainly nothing out of the ordinary.
I don't think I saw an increase in police
officers either..odd odd odd. ANYway,I'm
not complaining!
We went to the parade on Saturday,it was
short and sweet but fun! We woke up late
and only had 30 min to get up,get ready and
get there but it was worth it in the end.
We ended up having having breakfast out
and wandered into the street party(which
is more like an outdoor market of useless
crap) where the oldest ditched us for his
girlfriend and friends. There wasn't much
there so we walked towards the Stampede
grounds and bought some treats(shave ice
and, sweet and salty kettle corn)then headed
back to the truck and home.
Hubs had to put in a new heater core. I had
to get dinner started. I made a chocolate potato
cake which was excellent despite forgetting to
add the egg whites, heh. I also made a BLT potato
salad and then sat on my ass with a good book
until it was time to go.
We picked up a roast chicken from the grocery
store(best idea ever) a chunk of olive cheese
bread and had a picnic in the truck,at the
park,in the rain. Food seems to taste better
when you're somewhere else to eat it. Even
in a stinky old truck!
I love this photo. People wandering around
with their horses like dogs on a leash. It must
be the city girl in me who finds this so amusing.
This is an EVERYDAY occurance. So I had to
snap a pic.
And of course cowboys.
Real cowboys, man enough to wear pink;)
I've got some stuff to do so I'm off. The
boychild has sold his soul to me in exchange
for his freedom(he tried to pull a fast one on
me a few months ago). Part of our deal was that
he would do all my housework in exchange for
having SOME priveledges returned. There are other
rules and stipulations of course but that's the gist
of his deal with the devil. As a result,I have lots
more free time, which I'm using to organize this
house better and do all those little jobs one never
seems to have enough time to get to. Once I get
everything done,I'm going to use my time to sit
on my butt(more often, heh) and read the summer
away:) Cheerio!

Mmm, the food and the picnic sounds great!!!!
Glad the pervy teen situation is being taken care of. You really do have to watch your kids so much these days!
You are ingenious with consequences. I wish I had you on my shoulder at all times.
I would like to be at your shoulder at all times:)
Devon was the one who came up with
the basic idea so I can't take all
the credit, but I did fine tune
things and add my own stipulations
to ensure it's success. We shall
see if it all holds up!
It is just crazy out there Cheryl!
There is something about a cowboy. I don't know what it is, but yee haw.
