Childfree and Lovin' It!

Last night, the boychild was at work and the
Girlie went swimming with a friend.
Right now,the Boychild is at school and the
Girlie is swimming, with a different set of
friends! I'm going to relax and play here:)

Soooo,if we're friends on Facebook most of
you will know about this:
That is Spider. My new addition. Fourth cat,for those
of you who keep track of these things, heh. There have
been other fourth cats that didn't work out, hopefully
this one sticks!

I've always wanted a Siamese cat..my grandparents
had one and I've been in love with the breed for
years:) Since I'd never, ever pay more than the
adoption fee for an animal and since you hardly ever
see Siamese cats in shelters,I feel a wee bit spoiled
and super lucky that she's ours. She's a tiny little
thing, although you can't tell from the photo! She's
getting on better and better with the other Three as
the days go by. Her personality is becoming clear to
us. True to her breed, she's a talkative little creature!

I have a sneaking suspicion that she's preggers. I've
already called the vet and she's still willing to spay
her on Friday. That was a HUGE relief! I am not
doing kittens. The whole point of taking her in,was to
prevent her from over-populating the neighborhood.
Lucky for me,my vet is practical and understands
that. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS PEOPLE!

Yesterday at the mall I saw a young girl wearing
a surgical mask. I just about dropped dead!(heh)
REALLY? SERIOUSLY? My god..we've already
been exposed,by the way. A girl at school, who
the Boy has shared air with was diagnosed
with H1N1. She was in the ER over the weekend,
having an IV treatment. SO,we shall see if we get it!
I'd kinda like to get it over with, just to see what
it's like. It also takes the vaccine decision out of
the picture. They are not available to us until
mid November anyways. My personal feeling is
that I'd like to build up my own imunity to the
flu. I don't get the other flu shot and am rarely
sick..so why should I change that for this one?
My own doctor even said,if we vaccinate against
every little thing,we'll never have our own immunites.
So I'm going to play it by ear. It is all very interesting
to watch though,isn't it?

Aw, congrats on the new kitty!! As soon as I see a Siamese, I think of those mean cats in Lady and the Tramp (I think that's the movie, where they sing "we are Siamese if you please...").

So far, I am on the "no" side of the H1N1 needle fence. Like you, we don't normally get a flu shot, and though my house is usually full of colds, Mike and I are the only ones who ever got a flu (him once in the past 10 years, me twice). But if things start to get bad on a global scale, then we'll line up, lol!

LOL Cori! I recently said to a friend, when people start to drop like flies THEN I'll get vaccinated;p We already had..something?? I saw on the news that the only flu here is H1N1 so it stands to reason that we've already had it,last week when we
were all sick. That's what I'm going with anyways, heh!

OMgosh that damn song is stuck in my head! She's nothing like them, lol

I think I had a preggo cat spayed also. It took a long time to get my male and female kittens into the cheap clinic. The week before the spay, the female went in heat,at only four months old! Of course I was constantly yelling at the male, "Get off your sister!" YUCK.

Our puppies are not spayed or neutered, but we may breed them, we may not. Haven't decided. They don't go outside without us so it's not like they breed with some other dogs.

But cute cat. Hope it goes well with your family.
