is helping some.
Well, that and some Advil. Last night was
our Stallion Show . No photos -I didn't
bring my camera-which is too bad for you
but good for me because, I was able to enjoy
the show fully instead of trying to capture
the best shot. AND WOW WHAT A SHOW!
It was amazing. Those horses! That history!
The whole concept of dressage...that's all
I can say..it was wonderful. Well no wait,
I do have more to say. My favourite part
-beside the intensely gorgeous Andalusian
galloping past us and performing like some
perfect creature from another world-was
watching one particular stallion who was
taking GREAT exception to performing.
I love it when animals "act up" like that!
He was putting those fancy moves into
good use,to get his rider off his back.
She was very skilled and managed to stay
on,but not without some difficulty. You
could tell from her face she was perplexed
and very concerned for her safety. They don't
wear any safety equipment-it's not exactly a
rough sport- so a toss from a stallion would
not be a pleasant thing! The show ended with
a ballet of five riders instead of six because
said stallion was just being too much of an ass.
She got him to the end of the show area and
then guided him out . We all watched him kicking
and bucking and surging away. The other riders
kept the show going but you could tell by their
strained faces that they were wondering"What
the HELL!?" The narrator apologized and made
a few jokes but that was not really necessary, this
is a ranch town afterall. I'm sure most folks are
used to bratty horses!
The girl child and I walked home in the twilight
and while I was dead tired it was a perfect way
to end a perfect evening.

My red cabbage is looking a little..EATEN!
These fricking ants!
had a right to live too and I have more
than enough to share. That was until
one of them BIT ME on the foot while
I was carefully watering my garden.
So that was the end of that! I played
God a few times with my big green
shoe and the rest of them got the hint
and buggered off.
OH! That Kraft contest I posted about the
other day? WE LOST!
Kalso has one thousand residents.
We have ELEVEN thousand.
How did that happen?
I guess the city with the most heart won.
I betcha they cheated.
heh
I'm not doing too much today. Going for
a walk with a friend. Doing the other
stuff I normally do...I'll leave you with
a photo of some flowers that grow in
great fields at the dump:)
